Both the Vitamix and the Ninja can crush ice, make smoothies, juice, and blend healthy vegetables. Let’s dive in break it down and see which blender is truly superior.
Vitamix VS Ninja:
These comparisons are based on the Vitamix 5200 and the Ninja Professional Blender. For these comparisons, we’re going to focus on 6 main key points of each blender: Power, Speed, Warranty, Blades, Containers, and Cleanup.
- First, let’s start with Power:
The Vitamix 5200 is stocked with 11.5 amps/1380 watts. While the Ninja Professional comes stock with 8 amps/1000 Watts of power. The Vitamix has about 3 more amps of power than the Ninja, so in the power contest the Vitamix wins. Inside is a new Swedish-designed motor designed and manufactured specifically for the 5200. The motor is advertised as “2-peak” horsepower (2HP). The new motor has been manufactured for more efficiency in the ability to cool itself during use and also after.
A Ninja blender can run up to 24,000 RPM which is a lot. But the Vitamix ranges between 500 to 37,000 RPM, the winner is definitely Vitamix. It is able to do well and on a large scale basis with such speed as that. It is claimed that it can perform more tasks than usual blenders.
- Next let’s talk about the Warranty:
Vitamix is made in America and these blenders have the best warranty, ranging from 7 to 10 Years, full use that covers everything. The Ninja is made in China and comes with a 1-Year limited warranty. It should also be noted that Ninja just entered the US market in 2009.
Vitamix has a laser-cut four prong stainless steel blade and has two blunt hammer-mill blades. The entire blade and housing of Vitamix is metal. Therefore, it cuts or blends thoroughly. The Ninja professional has a vertical 6 blade tower attachment. It has six sharpened, three blades at different heights ensuring that chopping occurs evenly and blending is perfect. This type of blade is great for ice. The blades can easily be removed for cleaning which makes it less of a hassle.
All Ninja and Vitamix containers are made from BPA -Free plastic. When you buy a Vitamix you can choose from 3 different sizes of containers. Vitamix offers a separate specialty dry grains container designed just for making your own flour. It is indeed the most versatile blender among all other types of blenders. The Ninja Mega Kitchen comes with the standard 72 oz. pitcher and the Ninja Mega Kitchen System with an additional 40 oz. bowl and two single serving cups. Ninja can indeed grind seeds and nuts to make peanut butter but it makes no claim that it can also grind grains to make flour or any powder products.
And finally, my favorite:
Unlike other blenders, clean-up is easy with both the Ninja and Vitamix. The Vitamix is self-cleaning, while the Ninja is easy because the blades come out for easy access.
One last thought that no one can avoid is cost $$$. The ninja, a college student can afford with a little saving. The vitamix, a college student would most likely have to open another student loan.
Based on the information given here every person is entitled to their own opinion and is able to choose for themselves on which blender they will use every morning for the next 60 years. Vitamix Vs. Ninja.
